The Silicon Carbide Innovation Alliance will focus on improving the energy consumption of the PVT process and also establish a digital twin for silicon carbide furnaces. In the synthesis process, the SCIA aims to correlate the precursor and reaction zone purity with silicon carbide's crystal purity (ultimately for "ultra pure" bulk SiC), and improve silicon carbide's electronic and mechanical properties.
